Your Thyroid Gland is Mad at You!

So you’re taking Synthroid or some other synthetic thyroid medicine. So how are you feeling? Did you get your energy back? Did you lose that unwanted weight? Did your cold hands and feet finally warm up? Did your hair grow back? Did your skin stop being dry? Again, how are you feeling now?

I bet no difference and you still go back to the doctor to tell him the same things over and over again. Want to know why you aren’t feeling better and why you are still stuck in that my-thyroid-still-isn’t-working-rut? I-O-D-I-N-E! That’s right, IODINE!

Let me explain. Synthetic thyroid medication such as Synthroid or Levoxyl and others may give you the thyroid hormone T4, but what it’s really doing is slowly putting your thyroid to asleep by pushing all the iodine out of your thyroid. When the iodine is pushed aside and left on the doorstep like an unwanted child, the thyroid gland itself becomes lazy. That’s right it becomes slow and now your body is on medication for life! Iodine is needed to improve thyroid function by producing up to 94% inactive T4 and up to 7% active T3. The inactive T4 is then converted to the much more potent T3 in your liver. But guess what? Most people can’t convert the inactive T4 from the thyroid or even the synthetic T4 from the medication to T3 because they simply lack the nutrients for the conversion, again which happens in the liver.

How many of you have thyroid nodules? Want to know what causes them? Low iodine levels and higher levels of bromine (found in bread), fluoride and chloride. Again, your thyroid medication will not get rid of the nodules. You have to have iodine to effectively get rid of them.

Ladies, are you having hormonal problems? Estrogen and progesterone are out of whack and you head back to the doctor and add hormonal replacement therapy to your synthetic thyroid medication. Estrogen slows down thyroid function and progesterone improves it. Estrogen is given to cattle to fatten them up, so I’ll stop there. You get the picture. Iodine is needed to have healthy hormone levels and that goes for men too. Ladies, are you dealing with fibrocystic breasts and ovaries? Guess what? Move a little closer…it’s a LACK of IODINE! A lack of iodine can even lead to swollen ovaries and lead to miscarriages and stillborn births. Are you getting the picture here? Is it getting clearer? Iodine is a mineral of life. Without it your body will not do what it’s supposed to do.

One iodine supplement I recommend is one called Iodine Complete from Nutritional Living. It contains three forms of iodine to help your body improve its thyroid function and hormonal health naturally.

Now that you know the truth, it’s time to get your energy back. Time to get your unwanted weight off and warm up those cold hands and feet. Time to get your hair to grow back and have your skin return to its healthy appearance. Add iodine daily and your thyroid will love you, so will your hormones.
